 GoF film "threat" is most likely a hoax/rumor - according to sources Summary:
A far-fetched rumor has spread across the website like wildfire, that the GoF film set was placed under a terror threat. It turns out that this, predictably, was not true. Article: GoF film "threat" is most likely a hoax/rumor
Previously, it had been reported that the Goblet of Fire film set, in the Leavesden Studios, London, had been involved in a terror threat. IMDb.com an unreliable source at the best of times, reported this: Quote: Security has been stepped up on the set of the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie after the studio where it is being shot received a chilling terror threat. Leavesden Studio near London answered the menacing phone call last Friday, which warned of a brutal attack on the film's young stars. And insiders fear Al-Qaeda - the terrorist network responsible for the September 11 attacks - are behind the threat. A studio source says, "The caller apparently said, 'It's payback time... this is for all you've done to our women and kids.' The film is being made by American company Warner Bros so it sounds like it could have an Iraq or Al-Qaeda connection." Police and dog handlers have been drafted in to patrol the perimeter fence and the number of security guards has been trebled. A police spokesman says, "We are responding with extra vigilance."
The Leaky Cauldron staff have kindly done all they can to put this rumor to rest by saying: Quote: Please note that this HAS NOT been confirmed by anyone representing Warner Brothers or Leavesden, and the many unnamed sources lead us at Leaky to believe this is a rumor or hoax. Unless this report is confirmed, we suggest taking it with a grain of salt. They have also said that they'll keep us updated.

im glad this is being cleared up after all it was totaly geting out of hand. it was suspicious when it wasnt reported on the news.

I cant understand it? i went past yesterday seeing a police vehicle stationed at the top of south way??

meh, probaly just a conisidence or something, i dunno But it wasn't yesterday that it happened, Kaz. This rumor was on about the Friday last week.
Besides, they probably have police up there every now and then for security reasons. Maybe some fans were getting a bit too intrusive.

Yes people can be quite ...  sometimes...but no matter what if this was all a trick the people who did it has some serious problems!
