Goblet of fire cost rumor and another rumor for casting. Article:
movies.go.com reports Quote: The rumors reported last week about Goblet of Fire's supposed $308 million price tag might not be true. We hear from our own super-secret insider sources (we know a guy who knows a guy) that Mike Newell was only kidding about the movie being so expensive. and they're still going on about the Rowan Atkinsen rumor that was proven false loooong ago! 308 million! LOL hm... wonder what the total cost of GoF will be, kind of interesting to estimate though... I think 308 million is a 'little' high though But who knows... I never made a movie like Harry Potter!

I would actually take it as a joke, I wouldnt be able to take Voldemort seriously if Rowan were to play him, It would probably go down hill if he did play him, he's just not Scary or a seriouse actor(Not good in seriouse films) Not much anyway.

The Atkinson thing being rumor was revealed ages ago. As for the budget it goes in sterling, not dollars and the last was only 100 million pounds; I sincerely doubt the budget would triple, PoA didn't do that good and only just scrapped big takings than CoS globally. However, it has been the biggest film in the UK for some time, which does say something about the fanbase.

That's riddiculous... although I wouldn't put it past Hollywood to spend that much on a film, if they did for Book 4 it would be crazy. All the movies have been making less than the one before, so why would they spend the most money on this one??

it wouldnt suorise me it it did cost 308 million after all the can afford to spen £300 on a bed well 7 single and 1 double beds.
i read somewhere that GOF would cost more to make than the whole of the LOTR trilogy
And i am so pleased that Mr Bean isnt Voldemort (Although whoever came up with it deserves a good thrashing. lol)

Those bed prices are cheap compared to what you'd pay in highstreet stores!
