* GOF casting nearly complete Summary:
GOF nearly complete according to casting letter! Article:
On several sites, including Mugglenet, Marcella_Riddle's casting letter has been posted and we are now assuming that the casting for GOF is nearly complete. Here is what was said on HPANA Quote: According to MuggleNet, Warner Bros. has confirmed that their casting department is just about to make final decisions on key Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire characters, but are not ready to announce them yet.
Also, a fan of the Harry Potter movies applied to be in the next movie and received a letter in return (which was posted at SnitchSeeker.com) saying that all casting for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had been filled and that casting for Order of the Phoenix is not scheduled to begin till 2005.
Here is what the letter from Fiona Weir, who is the current casting assistant for Goblet of Fire said:
Thank you very much for your letter. At present we have all our requirements filled for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, should this situation alter in the future your details are on file to be referred to. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications outside of the United Kingdom.
Casting for Order of the Phoenix will not begin until next year and I can only suggest for you to look out for further notices on the official Harry Potter Website. In the meantime I hope you enjoy the next film - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - when it is released this June.
I would like to thank you again for sending in your application and your interest and enthusiasm.*
Wishing you all the best for the future!
Sincerely,
Fiona Weir
It would seem from this letter that Warner Bros. may indeed be doing Order of the Phoenix, but this has yet to been confirmed. We will update if we hear anything. HPANA |

That's cool. I think there are dates up on the net somewhere, it's supposed to be released in the 18th of November 2005. I'm not sure how true that is though.
Emma's HP-website-famous!
lol.

and I completly agre with the whole only actors in the UK can be in the movies. I mean come on! In LOTR the got several people native to other countries to learn the british accent and "lingo". But in a way I think it works. :sorcerer:

I think that really stinks too. But i guess since the characters from the books are from the UK so it makes since. Although i really think that Emma's hair could be a little more frizzy. AND does it bother anyone who's seen a trailer for HP3 that Rupert and Emma help hands. They're not supposed to do that to GOF people be making me mad.

Yes, I too think it is really discrimatory that they have to be 'British' or from the UK. > :/ I mean what about Briget Jones! and there are plenty of english actors in the US playing americans! I mean Please! Even for an extra, It should be fine for them to be american..I mean extras aren't required to speak! LOL, I know thats my job lol
I'm sorta surprised that they won't let 'outsiders' be in gof cause the world cup? should'nt they look foriegn..Oh well. I bet England is a melting pot as well and they have got plenty of poeple, but I beleive:
In this Phenomenon, that is Harry Potter, Why not share it with everyone, who loves it?

Wow, don't see many posts like this! Well it made me giggle anyway.
I must point out to you though that it is JK Rowling's wish that only UK citizens can be cast, if you want to blame anyone, blame her, but then if your a huge fan like you say you are, you will just accept it. |
