| | |  Goblet of Fire special at Comic-Con
Over the weekend Warner Brothers was promoting 'Goblet of Fire' at Comic-Con in San Diego. A special trailer was shown and reports detail what was shown. Quote:
- Beauxbatons was only half-done CGI but really cool, with Hagrid trying to direct the carriage for landing and then diving out of the way.
- Harry asking Cho to the ball. She's cute, and he stumbles over his words. It's precious.
- Hermione looking at Viktor and thinking, 'Oh, yeaaaah.' ;-)
- Hagrid: "I remember the first time I met you three, the biggest bunch of misfits I've ever seen!" Cut to a shot of Harry and Ron in their dress robes looking in the mirror.
- Yule Ball! Lots of waltzing, beautiful scene. Hermione peeks out and then comes down in her dress, cut to a shot of Harry looking very surprised and Parvati or Padma saying "Is that HERMIONE?" Cut to Ron hissing at Hermione, "You're fraternising with the ENEMY," to which Hermione sneers and says, "The ENEMY?" Viktor is seen kissing Hermione's hand, and dancing with her.
- A really great moment with Moody (whose eye is fantastic, it flicks around and is held in place by a contraption that seems bolted to Moody's face) and the Defence lesson. He sets a spider on Draco who shrieks like a girl when it latches onto his face. Moody AKs it (wow!) and then says the line about how only one person's ever survived the Killing Curse "and he's in this room," to which Harry just looks up at him.
- The Dark Mark hovering over the campground is sinister - it's green and a combination of smoke and flame, and seems like it comes out of the fires burning in the camp. Everyone's running in twenty directions.

We see all the schools arriving... with the standout being Durmstrung's aquatic appearance. We see the ship quickly come up from under the water of the pond on the Hogwarts ground. The effects here are easily the best of the series thus far (at least in this one shot). The water dripping off and the pond violently crashing against the hull as it rises up is beautiful.

Sirius Black's appearance. Yes, his face appears in the fireplace like in the book and my god... they way they chose to do it is so **** cool. It's not like you're expecting... his face isn't in the flames... it's actually made out of the burning embers and coals, a glowing red and sooty black outline of his face. Spectacular.
Time Magazine also has a preview for the film. Quote:
Warner Bros. is keeping mum on the details of the Dark Lord's look, but Newell lets drop a few clues: he has a snake's nose, horrible skin and no hair. "The image we have," he says, "is of a 2-hour-old chick which somebody dropped into a pan of boiling water and whipped out."

Sounds amazing. Are they gonna put it up on the internet so people can watch it. It sounds graet, I wanna watch it!!

Yeah I was there I saw the clips ect. But there was'nt much completed. I think many shots were from what we have privously seen in the trailer and photos. AS explained above the sequence with the ship rising from the water was my favorite. the creaking woods and crashing of the hull onto the water..the sails rose high. magnificient. Its a thin looking ship from the front not large or rounded like those seen in peter pan. or as decorated. there is also some quick shots so fast u can see, but they where of voldermort. you can only see a white glow of what might have been a face in a cloaked black hood in the shadows. But it's so distorted its unrecognisable

Oh man! That sounds so incredible. Who ever saw it is so lucky. With HBP over the only other HP thing I'm looking forward to this year is GOF which I'm sure of course that many of you will agree. lol.
