| | | 'Goblet of Fire' gets a PG rating in Canada
The Ontario Film Review Board has awarded ' Goblet of Fire' with a PG rating. The rating was given due to 'Frightening Scenes' and they also note that it is 'Not recommended for young children'.

I know it doesn't sound fair that Canada has got PG rating but I'm glad that we haven't because it means that there will be no kids talking thru the film or getting up every 5 mins for the loo or something to eat or drink!! Plus I think that the film is too long for them anyway

Canadian rating systems never made any sense to me. And this coming from a Canadian.

I would assume, from what I gathered, that under Canada 14a, no one under 14 would be admitted unless with an adult, but a PG rating is they strongly advise anyone under age to have an adult. That sounds a lot like PG-13 where they just strongly advise anyone under 13 to have an adult accompany them. So I guess essentially it's still the same as everyone else...

| It's rated PG? Awesome, then an adult won't have to come with me and my friends. Or do they? PG... awesome. |

Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Adam Fitzgerald Seventh Year Ministry RPG Name:
Violet Becker Accidents & Catastrophes | "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not." I thought that the movie would have the same rating everywhere. Isn't that how it works? Ah well. There really isn't too much difference between PG and PG-13 movies anyway. I mean it might not even be that much scarier than the third one.

Thats weird... why would it be PG13 here and PG there? Well, anyways... I can't wait to see it no matter what it is rated, and I agree with Harry's Pillow. At least there won't be a lot of annoying little kids. | |

eh, makes sense to me. Canada is usually pretty lax about most things, so this doesnt shock me at all. I just cant wait to see it with my bud ally when it FINALLY comes out. Any americans who are shocked at our pg-13 rating, dont be. Theyre all incredibly strict, dont want to mar the little kiddies virgin minds.

But anyways, I think the movie should have been rated *at least* PG-13 -- I don't want to hear little kids screaming and crying while trying to watch the movie.

I feel SO sorry for you! Well, if you live close enough, just go over the border if its truly that bad. Plus, you can always through stuff at the little kiddies, that has been known to work. And Sex ed in elementary school? wow, I'm a sophmore in highschool and I just start that class next semester, crazyness. Well, have a good day!
