 Gary Oldman wont work for less than £1million - claims actress Samantha Morton Summary:
Apparently a rift has been going on between the two actors; Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) and Samantha Morton. Article: Gary Oldman wont work for less than £1million
The Sunday Mirror today (12/09/04) ran an article concerning the on going 'rift' between Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) and Samantha Morton, a fellow actress. Here is what it had to say: Quote: Gary Oldman branded British Samantha Morton as 'ultra-stupid' and 'nutty' after she accused him of turning down a film role out of greed.
He hit the roof after the actress suggested he wanted at least £1million to appear in her low-budget film, River Queen.
A statement released by Gary's management says this: "The idiotic comments made by ultra-stupid actress Samantha Morton came to our attention a couple of days ago.
Gary, who was completely puzzled by these remarks and other weird claims about him by the nutty and well-known as 'difficult' actress, was very unhappy."
It went on to read that Gary had turned down the offer amongst others and had just simply chosen to reject it.
The rift began last month when Morton claimed: "He wont read anything we send him unless we offer him a million." Source: The Sunday Mirror  | |

I mean, Gary Oldman's probably pretty busy with the HP movies anyway.. Sirius does have a few parts in the fourth, but the 5th will be a killer!

How can she say that?I mean,Gary has worked in alot more than a few movies where,not only was he not the star,I almost sure that he wasn't paid that much. He was been a lot of well..not so good movies..but he is a great actor.And I am sure that Morton is just jealous of his work,and how much fame he is getting.She probably thinks that he thinks he is too good to work in that movie.But,bludgeing someone like isn't the way to get your point across.Jeez,that is just awful.I can not believe she said something like that.Then again,what they said about her wasn't nice...but..it was funny. Well, hope they work out everything.

I dont blame Gary Oldman. If i were him i wouldnt be in any movie with her either. She sounds like a right old cow! Anyway Gary's an international film star and i'd be happy to name any of his movies. But Samantha Morton, it sort of rings a bell, you know i've heard of the name but i dont think that i could mention any of her movies.

Shes just sounds like a looser. She is just breaking into Hollywood and the film probably needed someone like gary to make it a sure sucess and when he refused she was obviously upset!!
