In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, Sir Michael Gambon has said that he wants J.K.Rowling to bring Dumbledore back as a ghost in book 7. Quote:
And he has a message for JK Rowling (he plays Albus Dumbledore in the films of her Harry Potter books). "I die next year," he says. "I think I read it in the paper. It was such a shock. I thought, Jesus Christ. I'm sure if she reads this article, she might think, 'Ah, poor bloke. I'll put him in the seventh book as a ghost.' If she would kindly just put me in there."
Note: The full interview contains strong language.
Additionally he was also interviewed recently by Jonathon Ross on BBC Radio 2. His role as Dumbledore was briefly mentioned. You can listen to it by going here. The segment with Gambon can be found about 2:40mins in. Quote: Jonathan Ross (JR): People will know you, of course, as Dumbledore … in the Harry Potter films. Now, that’s a great part to walk into.
Michael Gambon (MG): He’s Irish as well. I play him Irish.
JR: He’s not Irish.
MG: Well, I do a slight Irish accent.
JR: I know you do but he wasn’t Irish. You’ve got to break free of this thing. You can’t play everyone as Irish.
MG: Well, Richard Harris played it Irish, so I thought as a tribute to Richard –
JR: Well, that’s a marvellous thing but I don’t think he’s necessarily written as Irish.
MG: No.

JK will write what JK wants to write and I don't think that bring Dumbledore was top on her list!! If she is going to bring anyone back.....  *looks to Lissy and the rest of the Dog House*...well, that is all I am going to say about that!!!
