| | | Further info on JKR reading in New York
A few days ago it was announced that Jo would participate in a charity reading in New York on August 1st and 2nd.
On Stephen King's [one of the other authors taking part] official message boards the possibility of a web broadcast for the event has been brought up. This would benefit the many fans who won't be able to attend the show. The idea is currently being discussed and final arrangements have not yet been made.
Additionally, an age restriction has been put in place, meaning that children must be 8 or older in order to attend. No exceptions will be made.
Tickets will go on sale TOMMOROW at 10AM and can be bought from Ticketmaster. The following is a break down of the price scheme; Quote:
Prime Orchestra: $100.00
Side/Rear Orchestra: $75.00
First Mezzanine (Front): $100.00
First Mezzanine (Rear): $50.00
Second Mezzanine: $29.50
Third Mezzanine: $12.50
[Radio City and Tickemaster surcharges will be applied]
Even more information can be found at the subsequent factsheet.
Both Biochemkris and Lissydove will be covering this event for SS! If any members are planning on going then PM either of them and perhaps you can say "Hi" to our lovely Admins whilst you're there!

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

It looks like we better be lucky with Ticketmaster tomorrow, huh Kris? I'd love to meet lots of fellow SSers!

| I’m glad we have more information; this is so exciting !
I was wondering if you guys think people will be allowed to take pictures at the event. Some people I’ve been talking too said they weren’t sure if it would be allowed or not; it would be a real shame if you couldn’t. |

Well in all the theatres I've been to in the past the rule has been you can't, though I'm not entirely sure about this event. But even if it turns out you can't, then I'm sure photo agencies will have some. Check the factsheet.

Hopefully those attending will be able to take pictures. I’ll see what I can find out, thanks! |

Oh and it does say Jo will read from a selection of her own works. But probably not book 7 as it isn't done yet.

Ooh that's so exciting; I wondering if she would read a bit of book seven? That would be divine.
