| | |  Further coverage of OotP rumours
Contact Music have now made a brief mention of the filming locations rumour concerning ' Order of the Phoenix' and the Czech Republic. Quote:
"It would probably take them a month to take everything (the sets) to bits.
It was previously reported that The Express newspaper was claiming that filming for ' Order of the Phoenix' (which starts in January 2006) would be moved from Scotland to the Czech Republic apparently due to problems involving the weather, shooting delays and taxation.
They quoted a Warner Brothers source discussing the matter, explaining the 'problem'. However, the same article later quoted a Warner Brothers spokesperson who said " I have not heard anything about leaving Scotland."
It was then later reported that the president of Barrandov Studios (the largest studio in the Czech Rep.) had said the following in a Czech article. Quote:
[After meeting with part of the Warner Bros. production staff] "It's still an open question, but we'll know more in two or three months."
The article also said this; Quote:
The British government financially supported the film-makers but is now backing off the big budget projects and so the producers are looking for more favourable conditions form Australia to Prague.
and this; Quote:
"On the other hand, Harry Potter is a national jewel and all the buildings, including the school for the children's heroes, would have to be moved from the original studios. They have to calculate whether the moving wouldn't be more expensive than the loss of the financial support," Docekal concludes.
So, what does all this mean? Basically just that a tabloid has decided to put their foot in it, choosing to also participate in the rumours.
However, nothing is fact yet, nothing official has been announced. When it is, I'll let you know.

I kinda thought that as well. Don't they give tours of the HP set when they aren't filming? That would be a major loss to the U.K.. I really hope it turns out to be just a rumor. stupid tabloids

I don't care if they just want the general consenus or what, if that's what they're doing then they need to find a better way to get information cos all this will do is tick fans, and the UK off.
Personally, if they move the sets outside of the UK, I won't see the movies. You guys can all go if you want, but I won't.

we're waiting HMMM you have no idea the impact moving the filming will havce on the local economy on Fort William and the surounding areas. and anyway it is a brittish film why should it be made out of the UK?
