When Peter Jackson did his LOTR trilogy special release, he had three separate sets of commentary you could choose for each film: one featuring cast members, one featuring crew members, and one with himself and the producers. THAT would be even better. 
As far as the extras go, they're the exact same extras that are on the regular old DVDs as they've already been released! I'm definitely not buying this.

*sigh* So I am supposed to re-buy all of the movies so I can have these extras? They sound great, but I think it's a shame that we have to buy all eight movies again just to get some extra footage and features. I feel like they should release a ninth DVD with the extra stuff on it for those of us who don't want to repurchase movies we already have.

Of course you're not supposed to re-buy all the movies. Just buy DHPart 2. There are no extra footage and features listed here which weren't on the ones you've already bought. No one is suggesting anyone re-buys the films. This set is for people who don't yet own the films.

So, does this version not contain the same extras for parts 1 & 2 of Deathly Hallows, that are contained in the individual releases for those movies? The listing doesn't include the deleted scenes, the 7 harrys, the conversation with J.k. Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe, etc., as the other DH part 1 & 2 discs do. It seems better to just buy the WB combo of DH parts 1 & 2 and then buy the Blu-Ray set of movies 1-6 available on the WB website (and on sale now) with all the same extras. It's almost the same total price.
