Post French 'Half-Blood Prince' goes green

It has been announced that the French edition of 'Half-Blood Prince' will be printed on recycled paper.

Quote:
"We're immensely proud of this achievement," says Cascades Fine Papers Group Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Gerry Zampini. "You don't have to be a graduate of Hogwarts to recognize why Cascades was selected. We bring to the table high quality, ecologically sound papers like Rolland Enviro100 and operate our mill in an environmentally responsible manner. As a pioneer in recycling, Cascades was "green" long before it was fashionable."
As a result, 6,746 trees that would've otherwise been used to be print the book, will not be cut down.

This move is similar to action taken by Raincoast and Bloomsbury, the Canadian and British publishers.

That's great, the more that can be printed on re-cycled paper, the better.

That's great! I'm so glad they decided to use recycled paper! The more trees, the better our air! And air is a necessity, not books! Though some of us*cough* would consider Harry Potter right up there with oxygen...

Funny title Ems...here I thought my prediction of a green cover would hold true in French too...aussi. N'est pas! Zut!

*Ottery continues* Instead they will be used for the Da Vinci Code so it doesn't really matter...you've killed the rainforest anyways. LOL.

Okay, publish all books on recycled paper then we can brag. And save the polar bears too while we're at it...nature's one of a kind...

"Rolland Enviro100"? Something as natural as recycling shouldn't have an unnatural name. How do we know it's really 100% recycled paper anyway?

but yet these trees will be used to make paper for people around the world and "that guy". you know, "that guy" who only who uses one side of the paper and then rips a fresh piece out because he doesnt want to write on the back? yeah. that guy. *mutters darkly about wasting trees and killing rainforests*

Very cool...people fail to realize that we need trees..they give us oxygen...and those 6,746 are useful for more than paper.
