Freddie Stroma talks Cormac McLaggen, Ron & Hermione in Half-Blood Prince
Actor Freddie Stroma spoke to OakFM Radio about how he got the part of Cormac McLaggen in Half-Blood Prince (including meeting director David Yates), mentioning that he was cast after filming had started for the sixth film. He talks about Cormac in the film: an arrogant Gryffindor who annoys Ron and flirts with Hermione, his date to Slughorn's Christmas party. Freddie admitted that he did have time to talk and mingle with the cast and crew of the sixth film, though not with Rupert, Dan, and Emma as much because the trio were busy with work and - in Emma's case - school; he also said that he plans to attend the premiere this coming July.
Freddie stated that he may go back to university after filming, though might consider other acting endeavours.

I hope he's going to be good... I really liked disliking him! Can't wait for the movie!

I had pictured Cormac in the book a bit different than the movie. He was supposed to be heavy-set and much larger than Harry. This fellow looks slim and just a tad taller than Harry. I hope he does well since this is his only chance to shine in the movie. He does look too handsome for the part of Cormac, though. Just my thoughts.
