| | |  'Frank Bryce' talks 'Goblet of Fire'
Eric Sykes, who will play Frank Bryce in ' Goblet of Fire', has given an interview to Mancester Online. In it he discusses his experience on the Potter set. Quote:
"I learned more on The Others and Harry Potter than I think I have in my whole career in films.
"There were one or two comments on Harry Potter that I was the best person they'd ever seen die. And I said it wasn't the first time I'd died on stage.
"It was so enjoyable. I thought it was all going to be shot in half a day and it went on for a couple of weeks. They kept adding little bits until it's my scene coming down the stairs, and that's the opening of the picture.
"They wanted him to be so well known so that when he dies after the first five minutes, all the audience would go, `Ahhh'."

If you've read the book it's obvious how the film opens because it's practically the same as the book, in this instance. And if you haven't read the book then hang your head in shame

Eric Sykes is really famous so what he says about shocking people is true. Non-HP fans will be shocked to see such a famous actor/comedian die in the opening scenes of a 'Harry Potter' movie.

Eric Sykes is so perfect for this role. I mean, here he is, this totally serious old muggle, played by a terribly funny comedian. I just hope I don't laugh as he does his big death scene. That would be awful.
