| | |  Frances de la Tour talks Madame Maxime & GoF
Empire Online interviewed Frances de la Tour (Madame Maxime) on the set of her new film ' The History Boys'. In the interview she talks about the giantess character she plays in the fourth Potter film as well as discussing the movie in general. Quote:
"She's a French giantess – or half giantess, so of course when she meets Hagrid, they are both half giants, so there's a frisson" the actress explains. "There's a lot of romance (in the film). They fall in love, and then, it's really lovely. Hagrid is… again you see a tenderness in him… it's lovely, really lovely to do."

"The difficult thing was the green screen acting, which I know nobody, no actor likes doing, because you haven't got the other actor to even act with, and that I found really hard. I mean, you don't know if you're doing too much or too little, or… it really is a stick with a ping pong ball."

i haven't seen any of her films but from footage available she definately suits madame maxime. so far so good, i just wonder how the rest of the film will work out!

Not officially, I don't think. David Heyman mentioned something in an EW interview about being confident that they'll be back. And Dan and Rupert have said they will do it.

I think Frances de la Tour seems very nice  i really love how the carriage flies and everything! i think she'll be a nice Madame Maxime.

Acting in front of a green screen. Green (and blue) screens are used to replace things/people/backgrounds that will be added in later with computer graphics. So you're basically acting with nothing (as Frances said).

Wait... Madame Maxime isn't in OotP, is she? I'm having a brain fart here. Part of HBP, yeah, but OotP? Doesn't matter though, I have a feeling they're leaving Hagrid out of OotP any ways.
I liked hearing her take on it. Aww. Romance for Hagrid. That'll be great to see on screen.

And as far as the topic is concerned Frances is right...He's perfect for the role of Hagrid although its sad he's not gonna be in OoTP...Madam Maxime is ok tooo..lol Can't wait for GoF.... Counting Down The Dayzz

Although he had to hold a stick in that case.
I bet that would be quite hard to do though.

Oh, right. It would be cool, but yeah, I just don't see it in there. If they cut SPEW out of GoF, I can't imagine why they'd clutter up OotP with Hagrid's storyline. Quote:

Agreed. I really think that since we haven't heard anything, we can be sure that all three have signed on to do OotP. If one of them hadn't, we'd have heard about them looking for someone new. Stuff like that, as big as the HP franchise is, wouldn't be kept under lock and key for long...

That is cool. I thought they picked a good actress for her role. I can't imagine what it must be like to film on a greenscreen. Like Dan Radcliffe had to do with all those scenes with Dobby in the Chamber of Secrets. It would feel like you're talking to yourself, lol.

Thats a gd interview, i think she'll be a gd madam maxime but we havnt seen or heard much of her in the previews i really wanna hear her and karkaroff speak btw did they cut badman out of GOF?
