| | |  For Your Consideration Half-Blood Prince posters
Two posters have been created for Half-Blood Prince, requesting that the sixth film be considered for nomination in various categories for the 2010 Academy awards. The categories suggested are; Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapated Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing. They can be seen here;
Nominations will be announced on February 2, 2010, at 5:30 a.m. PST. The ceremony will take place on March 7th 2010 at 5PT/8ET on ABC. | |

Um ok no. I know I'm going to be bashed here but there are plenty of other great films that deserve that award and HBP is not one of them. (I liked the film but it just is not one of THOSE great films).
I don't understand why the PS/SS, COS, or POA did not win in their respective categories because they deserved it very much, especially for the brilliant score by John Williams and the amazing effects, along with a great screenplay. I can see the 6th one being nominated for Best Original Score/Best Visual Effects but Best Picture/Best Adapted Screenplay?!!! I have to laugh at that one...  Sorry!
I mean if Twilight gets nominated for an award than I will be HBP all the way and would want to see HBP win very very very much because the other movie is terrible! And if HBP is nominated then I would definitety support it just because I'm a HP fan

I really hope HBP wins as many as possible, and it definitely deserves to be nominated at the very least. Maybe not Best Adapted Screenplay, because I feel they really mucked that up (sorry! I hate to say it as much as you hate to hear it!) I think though that HBP would deserve to at least be nominated. It was a great film.

To be honest, the script adaptation... and the score is not that original, since much of it is from OotP.

If anything, this film ought to be at least nominated for its cinematography. I would also be pleased if I saw a Best Supporting Actor nod for Jim Broadbent.
