The Oprah Winfrey Show official site has now updated with the reveal that the talk show host will be interviewing J.K. Rowling from Scotland; the episode will air this Friday, October 1 on ABC and local networks. Oprah.com has released eight new promos from the interview, taking place in Rowling's hometown of Edinburgh; those can be found in our galleries. Quote:

UPDATE: The first bits of information about the interview, in which Jo spoke about her depression after her divorce from a Portuguese reporter, are online now. Quote:
The first self-made billionaire author in history” opens up about “depression, her biggest regrets, and the love of her life”. She rarely gives interviews, but two years ago told a student newspaper the end of her first marriage to Jorge Arantes left her suicidal.
Confessing she went to her GP with serious depression, she said: “We’re talking suicidal thoughts here, we’re not talking about, ‘I’m a little bit miserable’.”
She said she probably ended counselling sessions too early, adding “I went through a really rough time and I am quite proud that I got out of that.”

First off, Jo looks beautiful. I do love the set, or whatever the background is. It isn't her house though is it?
This will definitely be an interesting interview. It's sad to know she had to face so many stuggles to get where she is today, but she did make it and that's what makes her so amazing.
