| | | First GoF screening in Chicago this weekend
The first test screening of ' Goblet of Fire' is due to take place on July 9th in Chicago, Illinois. Passes for this screening can be obtained by going to AMC area theatres, according to this forum.
A similar screening took place in Chicago in February last year for ' Prisoner of Azkaban'. Alfonso, the director, was in attendance and even listened to comments from the audience afterward.
If you do manage to get tickets, please let us know and please report back!

To some extent, yes. Remember, it was from the 2004 screenings that we learnt of the ending to PoA, where Harry flew away on his broom. Remember? So, I suppose some things can be said while others can't.

I'm going to have to ask my mom, but its possibility since my best friend is going to chicago tonight and I can get a ride from her tonight.
Edit: Nevermind. She reminded me that I have a dance class I have to teach today.

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

I know I wish I could. I'm thinking of cancelling my class, but I mean the competition is coming up and I don't know if the mothers could handle the reason: well I had to go see the fourth Harry Potter movie in theatres.

I wish I could go, too, but I live in NC. No chance for me, my mom and dad wouldn't dream of letting me and/or my brother and sisters go.
Oh, what a sad day for us all! But not really, cause some get to go. Good luck to those trying to get tickets!
( Psst! And tell those less fortunate than you if it's good! )

Well, like Emma said, to some extent, they can tell us info on the movie...(though lucky them who do get to see it!) But I have mixed feelings. I want to know about the movie...pics, what's going on, what's in it, what's changed, what's taken out. But at the same time, I want to be surprised when I go to the theater in November, you know? I mean, when I finally saw PoA, it was good and everything, and it's still my favorite among the movies, however, I wasn't as surprised as I was for the first two, you know?
Anyhoo, thanks Emma for the news! Maybe I should take a roadtrip to Chicago! Lol.

I know what you mean. LOL I wasn't surprised at all. There were only a few scenes that had me surprised after they showed 348975893829 different scenes in interviews and such. My favourite unseen scene of course being outside the whomping willow after they found out everything. *squees* But that's another discussion altogether. |

When the Sorcerer's Stone came out, my Dad got tickets through his work to go and see a special showing before the movie came out. There were so many people there, but it was a lot of fun. It was really great. I envy people who get the tickets for the GOF. lol. Sounds like fun!
