| | |  First Edition Philosopher's Stone sells for £9,000
A few days ago we told you about a student who sold his first edition hardback of Philosopher's Stone for £7,200 ($14,392.85) at auction. Today the BBC reports that another copy has been sold this time for £9,000 ($17,991.06). Quote:
The book, one of only 500 published by Bloomsbury in 1997, had a pre-sale estimate of £5,000-£7,000.
Bonhams sold the hardback on behalf of a woman who had bought it originally with book tokens she had been given as a school prize.
