| | | Fiennes and Gleeson profiled in Premiere
In the December 05/January 06 issue of Premiere Ralph Fiennes and Brendan Gleeson, who play Voldemort and Moody respectively, have been profiled. Gleeson is on page 34 and is highlighted as a 'scene stealer' Quote:
"When Brendan Gleeson was 34 years old, he came to a crossroads: He could continue teaching at a Dublin secondary school or pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an actor. Lucky for us he chose the latter . . . So does playing a professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry make Gleeson miss the blackboard jungle? 'No,' he says with a laugh. 'I gave what I had to give in that regard.'"
Ralph Fiennes is highlighted as a 'player' on page 164 Quote:
"Ralph Fiennes has played some scary guys. . . This might lead one to believe that [he] would be a little, shall we say, intimidating in person. And he would be, if not for his flawless manners and soft voice. How could this cultured gentleman . . . be He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?
'I've heard that even technicians working on Harry Potter were kind of creeped,' Fiennes says, remembering the time he spent incarnating the resurrected Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 'I'm a little wizened thing. A bit like Nosferatu.'"

Cool... I think Fienne's "cultured gentleman" traits came out a bit in Voldemort, like he was a charmer sometimes, but snapped and became irrate the next moment.

wow brendan was a teacher, i think he would have scared me lol..I mean of coarse he'd be nothing, nothing at all like moody thats a great extra experience he has under his belt to add to the character, makes it so much realer. Ralph is always so charming and warm but mysterious. He plays these characters so well with his versitality. I came away from GOF definelty fearing for harry ( the baddies are so bad ) yet being so fascinated by those evils- they both did such a good job including Mr. Tennent.

So by what they are saying on Gleeson does that mean this is the first he's acted in a production?!? It sound like it to me! If my thoughts are right then he's even more amazing than i thought before!! He's perfect as Moody! Not what i pictured him at first but still you gotta admit he was fab!!
Fiennes is wicked!! I just love the way he fills Voldemort with the evilness that is imagined! I do hope this means we will see him in OOTP! He can't leave it now!!
Ive got Maid in Manhattan and of course we all know Fiennes stars in it. After i saw Goblet of Fire i picked it out cause i realised then that it was the same person. Now when i look at the cover of MIM im like "Whoa! The eyes!" Its almost terrifying!! Im like "Noooo! That Voldemort!" Hehe!
