'Fantastic Beasts' cast reveal their favorite Harry Potter trio character, new promos
The leads of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series - Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Dan Fogler - recently revealed their favourite Harry Potter trio member.
Eddie Redmayne: I’m Eddie, and these are my castmates, Katherine, Alison and Dan. It’s really hard to believe that it’s been over 15 years since J.K. Rowling introduced us to the Wizarding World with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. But my question to you guys is: was there a particular character of the trio that you guys identified with, loved, felt passionately about?
Katherine Waterston: I just loved Hermione and, I guess, probably just because she’s a nerdy weirdo and so was I.
Eddie Redmayne What are you saying? (laughs)
Katherine Waterston: I mean, don’t know who can see why I might feel a connection.
Alison Sudol: (teases) No, I don’t see it. I really identified with Harry ‘cause I loved the idea of suddenly finding out that you have magical powers later in life.
Dan Fogler: I like them all, but I like Ron a lot ‘cause I eat when I’m nervous as well – as you can tell.
Eddie Redmayne: I’m with Dan. I loved Ron. Principally because I just love Rupert Grint’s face. He has the most expressive face in the world.
Empire magazine revealed the Fantastic Beasts interactive cover of their December issue, which emulates the cover of American Wizarding newspaper The New York Ghost, with the ability to play videos on it. A quick rundown on how to do that can be watched here. Do note that Empire only created 3,000 of these copies, and will be sold exclusively at Sainsbury’s in the UK starting Thursday 27 October for £9.99.
Finally, Warner Bros. and Pottermore released three new hi-res images from Fantastic Beasts, including: Jacob Kowalski warily looking at Newt Scamander's briefcase; the Barebone family standing together; and Newt Scamander readying a spell in a New York subway.
