Imagine for a day that David Yates decided he didn't want to direct Harry Potter, and cancelled his contract. Who would step in, and what would they do different with the movies? Well, MTV decided to ask just that. A batch of answers have recently poured in, and here are a few of the more appropiate answers that some directors have given:

I love directors! They're the one who makes the whole movie! Without them...how can movies exist?

Lol! They are all pretty brilliant, and I would love for Alfonso to come back and direct an HP film. I don't care what anyone says he is brilliant and PoA was by far the best HP film I've seen. Well I guess we'll have to wait and see who directs HP7. I'm sure it will be awesome. | |

My favorite "quote" was by Guillermo del Toro!. HAHA that was nasty but witty too LOL. I also think that Alfanso did the best job with POA, it was because of that movie that I got into HArry Potter in the first place I want him to come back!! oh, and these directors are talking like they can kill off any character they want? I don't think so!!

Okay. Since I don't want any of the main quartet to die, I'm liking none of these directors. They all seem a bit too trigger happy. I really like any director who loves the books though but loving the books and understanding the individual characters are two different things so I would have to know how well they understand the individual characters and the story before I decided whether I liked them or not. I think a lot of the failure with the movies have been to truly get in touch with the story and it's characters instead of trying to mold characters into the usual one-dimensional and expected with little nuance.

Whats with these directors and wanting to kill someone?  These directors seem pretty good! But what would be really cool would be if a real die-hard HP fan would direct the movies! Yeah like someone who actually has read each book a couple of times & fully understands the characters,now that would be a really good HP movie!
Ok whats the deal with everyone wanting Alfonso come back? Seriously PoA was just...disapointing  . I dont know I think its just me that feels like that because everyone is always like "PoA was the best HP movie" or "PoA is my favorite movie" and obiously these directors really like the movie & there profesionals. So I dont know....
