A french magazine, 'Télérama', falsely printed some information in regards to who will die in 'Half-Blood Prince' and even quoted Jo Rowling as saying who was most likely to die in her next novel!

They claimed JK Rowling stated that a main character will die in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. They also reported that JKR said that the most likely to die are Hagrid, Dumbledore, and McGonagall.

Rowling has referred to the article as "less than accurate."

The only thing the author has said in relation to deaths, in her coming novels, is that there will be more - anything else is just pure speculation.

To me, it looks like people are just trying to start rumours. I personally think that Hagrid WILL die, but who knows?

Not good not good at all - what a bummer to make! They are going to upset fans who havent heard that this is "less than accurate"...

J.K.Rowling has respect for her fans because we respect her. Obviously, a lot of mags and tabloids have very little respect for anyone.

It's sick how tabloids are only on the market to make money and spread rumors. I think it's disgusting.

They're just taking advantage of the fact that people can NOT wait for the book to come out, so they hope fans will eat whatever they say about it. I'm really not believing anything I see or hear, until July 16th.

Speaking of which, there's this girl I read about who took a couple of days off from work so she can read the book haha!! I think I'm going to do that.. let's see, I work weekends, so I'm gonna have to take the 16th and 17th off... hhmmm *runs to get vacation request form*

I just want to ask a question...don't people get tired of creating rumours about the sixth book HBP???
Can't we just wait for some official info from JKR herself or better idea wait for the book to come out!!!

They don't know who died - it could be more than one. That's the point. All that has been said is:

But they either didnt or were not alowed to report who died in OOTP have you noticed that they were all so eger before but no one not even like SKY news reported who died yet the day before they were full of speculation

well, what a relief that it's a rumor though! I remember that romur ghoing arouynd before GOF, that George would die, I was a complete nervous wreck, I couldn't stand the idea of a dead Weasley! Arrggg... stupid tabloids.

LOL I think it's highly likely some of the Weasley's will die. There's too many of them for it to be realistic for them to all live through a war.

I kinda hope it's Percy if so. Eventhough a lot of people think it will be Ron.
There is also that theory that people are dying in the opposite order of the names on the map. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs. So the next would be Wormtail then Moony.

I think that dumbledore will sacrifice himself to save the school too. Well enough of the death rubbish, unless it has to do with the person who wrote that article.

Goodness i HATE these rumours. So annoying. I cant even speculate who is going to die, because I dont want anyone to, but i know they are going to. But cant I just think happily right now that non of them will?

But per JK Rowling, some will... I really believe that Ron will die... I don't think Dumbledore will die.. Well, I think he will, but not in a fight or anything. It would be like he would juz disappear instantaneously to protect Harry or something, but still kinda be there in spirit, fighting next to Harry all the way... Just like how Sirius kinda just "disappeared" without really showing he died...
