| | |  Exclusive: Tonks has one scene in Half-Blood Prince (UPDATED)
This past weekend I attended Collectormania 13 in Milton Keynes, England, where, amongst others, Natalia Tena (Tonks) was present. She told me about her role in Half-Blood Prince & her reaction to Deathly Hallows.
The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn't actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there - indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.
In regards to Deathly Hallows, she said she was disappointed to see that they got married, due to her own personal preference towards the institution. So she doesn't want a big wedding scene (which some fans think may happen, given the exclusion of Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour from Half-Blood Prince). But she did say that she would love to have to ride a broom with a pregnant belly.
This was Natalia's first ever convention and hopefully not her last. She was a true character in every sense of the word.

Andddd - this is the last straw. I WANTED to see Remus and Tonks's relationship develop. This is just... not fair. Why do they have to deviate from the books so much? I understand the time restrictions and everything but, my point is, if we can watch a three hour movie in one sitting, why not one with three hours, five minutes?

I hate the idea that Tonks is gonna be in only one scene! That's horibble.
I think Tonks is a very brave charachter and she is not affraid to show her feelings, but at the same time she is very funny, so all of readers like her. Also I think that Natalia Tena is great actress so she deserves to act in more then one scene! I am starting to hate those new movies. The chamber of secrets was brilliant, for example, but lately movies are being to much arranged. They are cutting out important scenes and puting in unimportant one.... where is the point? | |

AMEN, HALLELUJAH, AND TESTIFY SISTAH! Judging from reactions I've been reading, there are a fairly decent amount of fans who are NOT happy with the cuts and changes being made to the books. How in the world can no one associated with the films or the books, or the actors for that matter, not hear/see/read any of this and think "Maybe we're doing a little something wrong"? People are hearing this news and their expectations are falling, and they're entering into it with a negative attitude, expecting to be disappointed, myself included. People in the IMDB boards (which is so populated by Trolls these days it's not even worth looking at) scream at anyone who complains, saying you can't have an opinion until you've seen the movie, but bad word of mouth can KILL a movie. (Waterworld, Battlefield Earth, Valkyrie....) Yes the movie will be a success, yes it'll break records, but with every single change I hear about, my heart sinks. And I still cannot believe JK is actually giving these chop jobs her blessing! How can she sit there and watch 17 years of her life be ripped up like it has been. Yes yes yes, you can't put every little thing onscreen, but the filmmakers seem to think the audience has the attention span of your average blowfly. With the fervor for Potter as high as it is, they underestimate the amount of time fans are willing to sit down, be quiet, and watch the movie in the theaters. I've sat through all three LOTR movies with no problems. I've sat through countless James Bond films, marathon Star Wars runnings, not a single bathroom break. I've said it before, I'll say it again, this movie really sounds to me like it's going to the the Attack of the Clones of the Potter franchise. *sob* | |

I am so confused, so they just wrote out Bill and Fleur, and so is their wedding not gonna happen in DH bc it is a BIG part in my mind, I guess it will be interesting!
It is sad Tonks isn't going to be in more of HBP, I just re-read it again and forgot how much she appears in the book!!! I guess we just have to trust the people making the movies. | |

It is very strange that she is only in one scene, like so many others I liked the character. So many times in the book she was featured, and it made sense why she is there, and her relationship with Lupin. | |
