| | |  Exclusive: Tonks has one scene in Half-Blood Prince (UPDATED)
This past weekend I attended Collectormania 13 in Milton Keynes, England, where, amongst others, Natalia Tena (Tonks) was present. She told me about her role in Half-Blood Prince & her reaction to Deathly Hallows.
The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn't actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there - indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.
In regards to Deathly Hallows, she said she was disappointed to see that they got married, due to her own personal preference towards the institution. So she doesn't want a big wedding scene (which some fans think may happen, given the exclusion of Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour from Half-Blood Prince). But she did say that she would love to have to ride a broom with a pregnant belly.
This was Natalia's first ever convention and hopefully not her last. She was a true character in every sense of the word.

I kind of like it this way. Her character became defined by Lupin in HBP, which made her seem needy and less of her own woman. I'd rather she wasn't seen moping around over a man  although it is sad she won't be getting more screen time.

This is going too far. I mean, I like the idea of the extra scene and everything. But more of the original stuff is going to be cut out because of it. I don't know...I just wanted more of Tonks in this one, I wanted more of everyone really. They need to cut less out, not make up extra parts. Although the Burrow Scene sounds interesting...I just don't see the point of it. | |

I was hoping for more Tonks coolness, but I like Tonks as Tonks. And not Tonks as Lupin's significant other. She sounds cute, Ems, you're so lucky!

All these bits and pieces about scenes in the movies, etc. makes me wonder how much they are adding and subtracting and how much "original" stuff the director is putting in the movie. I dont think Tonks' angst made her needy, she is human and she is in love. That would motivate her to act the way she does and makes the decisions that she does.
I dont know why she was disappointed that her character got married. Her character would get married, of course, to have a child, and then follow her husband into battle and then die w/ him leaving an orphan. Just like at the beginning of the first harry potter book, an orphan whose mom and dad died fighting Voldemort.

Only ONE scene? That's not HBPish at all  Meh, they're changing the film way too much. I wanted to see the scene when Remus and Tonks get together after Dumbledore's death *sigh*

Hi guys!
Well...I just read this post.I'm so disappointed.Where are the battle scenes?The Hospital Wing and Funeral scenes?The train rescue scene?Oh my god.I'm so so disappointed.It's awful.
EmmaRiddle,I just hope she has something more to do in the future last weeks of shooting...did she say that this is the ONLY scene she's featured in the film?I desperately hope not...Anyway...do the battle and aftermath scenes include anyone from the Order at all?And who is going to save Harry?
Awful.Whoever said that Kloves is better than Goldenberg is obviously stupid.

I'm disappointed because we won't see her more, though.
And I have to question the Death Eater attack on the Burrow. Maybe I need to re-read HBP for the 23rd time, but I don't recall an attack on the Burrow until Deathly Hallows. I know they added the Burrow scene to get in the details of the war, but why have the DEs attack the Burrow? I'm skeptical.
