| | |  Exclusive: Rupert Grint butterfly artwork to benefit hospice charity
Rupert Grint has used his creative talents to support Keech Hospice Care’s adult and children’s hospices – a charity located close to his Hertfordshire home.
Known to enjoy drawing and painting in his spare time, Rupert has produced an elaborate, colored butterfly sketch – a theme which was chosen to represent the beauty of all lives, however short they may be. You can see the sketch below and in hi-res here in our galleries.
Rupert’s artwork will join the creations of many other celebrities including Coldplay, Theo Walcott and Fearne Cotton. The special group of paintings, named ‘The Chrysalis Collection’, will be auctioned off on eBay next month.  Quote:
“We have been overwhelmed by the generous response of so many celebrities,” Keech fundraiser Laura Devine said.
“We are delighted Rupert has chosen to support his local hospice charity, especially because many of the children we care for are big fans of the Harry Potter star.
“Rupert’s masterpiece features many faces inside the butterfly’s wings, each with their own quirky expression and unique character – a true Harry Potter creation that will have the fans thrilled!”
The auction will run from March 19 to 28 and there will be a public exhibition of the star-studded artwork throughout March at the Stockwood Discovery Centre in Luton, nearby the site of the hospices.
All proceeds will help Keech Hospice Care continue supporting adult and children with life-limiting illnesses, and their families.

That is a beautiful masterpiece. I love Rupert and I love his art, and I love that he's doing this for charity he's a love ... just when I think I couldn't love him more. Which I can't because Kellybear will kill me  :3
He's very talented, not just as an actor but as an artist. I hope it goes for a lot of money though I don't understand why they do these auctions through Ebay ... wouldn't it be better to do it through an auction house or something? They probably would want a big cut of the proceeds ...
