Quidditch 3D is the world's first full-3D UNOFFICIAL Quidditch-inspired game. After many years of development by fans, the game will be released on March 19th, 2005 - this Saturday - at Dissendium.com.
Play as any character from one of the four Hogwarts teams - select your broom and your position, and you're well on your way to the Quidditch pitch! You're even able to select the weather conditions you'd like to play in, with Madam Hooch helping you beat your opponents through five training sessions. You'll fly like a pro in no time!

Wow it's out already!
I had seen this in Dissendium.com some weeks back and was impressed at the making of 'Quidditch 3D' and all the fans working at it. I hope I'll be able to get the game  . I'm sure JK Rowling will post something about this on her website 'cuz this is something which should deserve worthy acclaim.

I don't think they can charge you, since they didn't get credit for 'inventing' quidditch, i think if they charged, then either WB, EA games, or JK can sue for copy right infingement. But I'll be the first to admit I don't know all the laws on this topic, so don't take what I say as the last word!!! They'll just have to make sure they cover all their bases.
Personally, I think it's gonna be a cool game and would be willing to give it a try. Although I'm not sure I like the hats they're wearing

Kaz -- it's an online game so no.
^^ I agree with the above. The hats seem far too typical of what people automatically see witches/wizards as and realistically, could they stay on while playing Quidditch?
LOL I'm nit picky.
Personally, I can't wait to see if someone will someday make a REAL Quidditch game for computers. As in one where it's as violent as JK describes that it can be in one of her Comic Reliefs books.
I'm not evil or anything, but it'd be cool to see limbs getting broken and a bit of blood and people falling off their brooms etc...

Looks very interesting! In a good way, i mean.
The graphics standard seen from the picture stills look similar to the standard of when the first hp computer game came out.
Give it a few years and i reckon this game could become a huge hit with big game manufacturers like nintendo and sony wanting a piece of the action!
Can't wait for the release! I challenge all to a match of the best sport in the world!!!!! Bring it on!!!

Cool... So how many people can play at once? Or is it an individual thing? Is everyone playing on the same field, or it's different for every person playing? Like Xbox Live, where u're playing the same game with different people all over the world... Is it like that?? Or it's played individually?

I don't think that WB's team of lawyers can do anything unless they charge, otherwise any one who made anything could be sued. My b/f made a Kiss keychain and stuff, and nothing was done to him.......but he didn't sell it either. If you make something as a gift or for fun, it's fine, but once you start charging a fee and not give the owners credit and however much is supposed to be given to them, is when people have to watch out. Once again, I am not an expert, but I've read a business man's website enough to get a rough idea of the laws.

I don't know how cool the game itself will be, but the way they have everyone looking is a bit lame. lol I know they can't make an extreme likeness, but could they at least make Harry look better than a cartoon kid? *shrugs*
