I've noticed Yates really likes this composition of the three a lot, with a large depth-of-field and the three spaced out from the foreground to the background. I think it worked well in OotP, because in the book they were isolated from each other quite a bit with their feelings of being misunderstood. I'm not sure why it's used here for the scene before the cave, but that feeling cut off is definitely there, and I thought that feeling was largely gone in the book since Harry started maturing more.

I think with this particular scene it's Ron and Hermione accepting that Harry's going off on this journey with Dumbledore alone, and you can sort of see Ron's wariness towards and Hermione's acceptance to it. There is a bit of a rift between them here, but I imagine they're just coming to grips with how important the mission is, and all that.

I reckon the courtyard scene is right before Harry leaves, but this scene in the dorms is probably when he first tells Ron and Hermione about it? You can tell they've got the same clothes on, so it's definitely earlier on in that scene.
