Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling contributed a foreword to the upcoming third edition release of Dear Me: A Letter to My Sixteen-Year-Old Self, out October 25, 2011. USA Today released a small excerpt from her foreword, which can be read here: Quote:
Rowling writes in the foreword that she was touched by the letters' "commonality ... Nearly everyone who wrote, whether their letter is jolly or poignant, seems to have looked back on their younger selves with compassion."
