Entertainment Weekly has rated Alan Rickman as a "most valuable player" citing his role as Snape in Order of the Phoenix for being "icy" and "humorless". Quote:
Rickman may not be on screen long — but he owns every minute. He's magnificently intimidating, whether jousting with Daniel Radcliffe's Harry or turning a simple retort (''No idea'') into a mini-symphony of contempt.

They say that when you start to dislike an actor because of the role he plays is because he's a great actor! Mr Rickman is an amazing actor! It's kinda hard to think of him as a nice person after his incredible impersonations of Snape.

Harry spun around. There, his black robes rippling in a cold breeze, stood Severus Snape. He was a thin man with sallow skin, a hooked nose and greasy, shoulder-length black hair, and at this moment, he was smiling in a way that told Harry he and Ron were in very deep trouble.
