| | |  Evanna Lynch launches 23rd annual Multiple Sclerosis Readathon in Ireland
Harry Potter actress Evanna Lynch launched the 23rd annual MS Readathon in Ireland this past weekend. More information on her participation and the organisation can be found in the press release. Quote:
The MS READaTHON is the biggest school-based reading initiative in Ireland and the key annual fundraising campaign of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, the services, information and research society supporting people affected by MS. Last year more than 25,000 children in 686 schools participated, reading an incredible 500,000 books between them and raising more than €1 million for people with MS.
Photos of a now-redheaded Evanna posing with several young fans with UK editions of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows for the Readathon can be found in our galleries.  Quote:
The 23rd annual MS READaTHON 2010 was officially launched today by Ireland’s Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch, aka ‘Luna Lovegood’. Evanna participated in several previous MS READaTHON’s and urged teachers and students in schools across the country to sign up for this year’s campaign. Schools will be contacted this week commencing August 30th with information brochure and entry forms. The reading period takes place for one month from October 15th 2010.

I like her red hair. I wonder if it is naturally red and she has it dyed blonde for the movies or if she is naturally blonde and has decided to go for a red look. To me what's strange is how much older she looks in these photos than how she looked in the last movie. I wish I was one of those young HP fans in the photos... | |

Good for Evanna. I'm glad she's going out and doing good things for good causes. Those kids are adorable!  A new generation of HP has begun...
As for Evanna's hair, it doesn't flatter her at all.  The thing I loved about Evanna was her totally natural and unique beauty without too much fluttering about. The red hair just makes her look extra pale and worse, just like any other girl now, not Evanna a girl of her own. It ages her in a bad way. But nevertheless, she's still pretty here.

She had it dyed nearly white blonde for the Potter films, and she dyed it red here. Not sure why, but I kind of hope it's for a movie role or something; it'd be nice to see Evanna get more projects.
