This is why I Love Evanna! She's awesome. From the bit I read I'm inspired

hmmm. this is very interesting. I like what she has to say. She seems honest and that's always a nice trait in people who are famous!

I love Evanna. She's so humble and I love how the HP series helped her get over her anorexia. She was definitely one of the last people I would have thought of when it came to that disorder. She's so inspiring, and those little tidbits that were given were great advice from her. Go Evanna!

The irony of this is situation is that I always found Evanna to possess a beauty unlike the “normal definition.” I’ve always admired her uniqueness and devotion as a fan, like the rest of us. I've said this time and time again (and I’ve always meant it), but Evanna, at least in my eyes, has a unique beauty that very few people possess. So it’s a shock to hear that she once suffered from her own body image issues when I’ve always thought of her as nothing more than beautiful in every which way. It’s sad that our society lets us believe that to be "beautiful" we have to give them more than who we are; that we have to enhance ourselves in some way, but at least there are people fighting back against this.

I’m pleased to hear that J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter played a part in bringing her out of that dark place and putting things into perspective. Many people laugh when I say that Harry Potter taught me my life lessons, but people forget that the pen is mightier than the sword and in this case it seems to prove just that, especially now that Evanna chose to write down her struggles.

I’m proud of Evanna for coming forward with her personal struggles. I do hope that people are inspired by her words and able to take something from them into their body image struggles. I’ve always said, but I can’t think of anyone else who deserved the role more than Evanna.

That's incredibley inspiring. I'm glad that JK Rowling and the HP books helped her. I can understand...I've actually said "no" to drugs because I didn't think Harry would approve. Lol...that's actually pretty pathetic, isn't it?

Sounds like a courageous young lady who came through a personal battle in good shape all the way around.

Wow! It's kind of hard to imagine someone as blessed and beautiful as Evanna to go through something like that, but I have gorgeous friends who are convinced they are absolutely ugly, it's really sad seeing people do that to themselves, and it took me forever to realize I was doing it myself.. And I actually was able to pull myself out of it quite a bit by comparing myself to Hermione Granger (strange I know)... But the HP books can be really helpful in the littlest ways!

Oh snap never would've guessed it, but MAJOR kudos to her for overcoming that horrible horrible disease!!

ahh, i love how Evannah used Harry Potter to get over her disease, and how she is humble and just plain awesome.

While I have not gone so far as to be destructive in terms of my body image, I do suffer from some negative body images issues living in Japan as a foreigner. Hearing Evanna speak out and offer advice is actually really inspiring to me.

i didnt know she suffered from anorexia, i wrote an essay for college a long time ago about body image its interesting how many people will do anything just to have the perfect body

Shame poor Evanna! I never knew she had anorexia. Who would have guessed that such a beautiful person could have negative body image. I agree with you people,Evanna is very humble,beautiful and awesome! She really is my role model

I never knew Evanna had suffered so much. She is one inspiring person to look up too. She has a lot of courage within her. I'm so proud of her. I never knew this much about her. I can't believe JK Rowling who wrote the Harry Potter Series would turn Evanna's life around like this. Evanna is just such an amazing person. Just reading this has inspired me so much.
