Summary:
Eragon: A Match for HP?

Article:

Thanks to TLC

Eragon scribe Christopher Paolini, asked by US News & World Report how his title character would fare in a duel against Harry, said Eragon would win because "he's got a dragon on his side."

The article says Eragon, an impressive first effort from Paolini, who wrote it when he was 15, just took Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix's top-spot on the NYTimes hardcover children's bestseller list. This would be a more impressive feat had OotP not been out for seven months. Would a dragon be enough for Eragon if he and Harry shared release dates? Probably not.

I spent 70 dollars on Eragon. And did I find it worth it?

Definitely!

I loved it. It's not really fair to compare it with HP since both are great in their own special ways. But I think Eragon's love interest is too perfect for my taste. She's beautiful, smart, talented, wonderful swordsmaiden etc. Like a combination of Hermione, Arwen and Eowyn really, since she is an elf.

Also, HP has more suspense.
