| | |  ‘Equus’ on Broadway?
There are rumors of the Equus production coming to Broadway, with both Richard Griffiths and Dan Radcliffe reprising their roles on the New York stage after filming for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is complete.
According to the Daily Mail: Quote:
Roger Berlind, a veteran New York theatre producer, said that if the production with Radcliffe and his fellow leading man, Richard Griffiths, wanted to move to Broadway, he would help raise the finance to present it.
He said that he thought Radcliffe was a "natural stage performer".
And the New York Post had the following to say: Quote:
The London revival of Peter Shaffer's powerful drama about a teenage boy who takes off his clothes and blinds horses began previews on Friday, but it has caused so much buzz that producers already are planning to bring it to Broadway in the fall.
The production ends its limited run at the beginning of June, when Radcliffe takes off to film the sixth installment of the "Harry Potter" series.
The plan is to move the production to Broadway after that, with Griffiths and Radcliffe reprising their roles.
Read into it what you will. The timing doesn’t make sense unless they’re referring to fall of 2008.  | |

And by then, I would be 16 so it might be more likely that I would be able to see it.

yea...I dont think so,not unless they have an age limit I mean we all remember what happened with the FCC during the super bowl when JT and Janet preformed, So I highly doubt somebody wont protest even if they're not the FCC some organazation will say something...

I'm sure they're talking about whichever fall is after filming... but that's AWESOME! I really hope that it comes to Broadway. It's so much cheaper than going overseas. And maybe we can even drive there! Ooohhh... I can't wait! *starts saving up money now*

There have been many plays on Broadway that display nudity over the years. Equus would not be the first. It would most likely follow the same kind of age ranking in the US as a movie with nudity. I think this is mainly a rumor. The London show closes June 2007 and it is unlikely the HBP filming will take less than a year. The question is will the hype still be there to open Equus on Broadway in fall of 2008?
