Having confirmed her attendance at Brown University to Paste magazine back in July, Emma Watson has now updated her official site to briefly discuss her schooling situation, while debunking a few rumours. Quote:
I know, according to the papers I was definitely attending both Columbia and Yale but I've finally arrived at Brown University and while I wish that I could be in three places at once I wouldn't believe everything you read! I arrived on Tuesday and I'm having the most amazing time. I'm still so excited to be here. I've already met so many incredible people. I'm over my jet lag and now I just want classes to start!! Hope you are all well and happy, and if you"ve just started college or university that it is everything you hoped it would be.

Oh and contrary to the reports you may have read, I didn't arrive by helicopter . I've only been in one once when I was little and I was terrified. Now back to my studies! Speak soon.

I think that it is wonderful that she is so excited to be at school. It just shows how mature and dedicated she is for her to be there. I truly hope that people respect her enough as a person that they keep the HP fandom to a minimum. It is also great that the site won't support any paparazzi type photos.
On that note, when I found out that she was going to be so close to home I did have the sudden urge to apply to or visit Brown and try to hang out long enough to become her friend or at least see her and have a civilized conversation (all the while jumping up and down and squeling like a small child on the inside).   | |

arriving by chopper? i was like......are u serious.......... glad to hear its a rumour and she's not a.d.d impeded. university is just university. alot of work and tests, you'll see by midterms if she's still loving it

I am so proud of her...I've just started University too and its definately exciting. A part of me was sort of hoping that Emma would come down to California and maybe go to school and I would see her lol but I guess who would when they've got into all the nation's top Ivy schools! Actually the fact that she came to the states is good enough I suppose. Very proud of her. She's been a great role model for all of us I think. Good luck Emma!!!!
