| | | Emma Watson talks to Radio 1 about GoF BBC Radio 1 conducted a short interview with Emma Watson on Friday. Quote:
"We have a new director, called Mike Newell, who did 'Four Weddings And A Funeral', which is one of my favourite films of all time, so that's very exciting. He's brilliant."
"It's a great plot. Although the book was quite dark, he's really bringing out some really great elements in it, like a lot of the awkwardness between teenagers and there are some fantastic jokes. It's brilliant."

| I tried to watch "Four Weddings and a Funeral" 2 years ago on home video, but I couldnt stand it then -- the only thing I enjoyed so much then was Hugh Grant's speech as best man in the 1st wedding-- it was hilarious! But after that, I thought everything else was boring, so I turned it off.
A week ago, however, I forced myself to watch it again (out of love for HP of course) and I was glad I gave it a 2nd chance -- it was actually good!
I realized now why it didnt appeal to me back then-- its bcoz the humor was a bit sophisticated for me at that time.. I was more into the slapstick teen comedy type films like "American Pie" then.
And if Mike Newell is incorporating that kind of humor in GoF, then it must be good. |
