| | |  Emma Watson set to star in crime caper "The Bling Ring" this spring
Variety is reporting that Emma Watson is confirmed to star in director Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring," based on the true story of a group of teenagers who commit a string of celebrity burglaries.  Quote:
"I'm excited about the young cast we're assembling and I'm looking forward to shooting on location here in Los Angeles," Coppola said.
According to the official press release on the casting, filming will begin this spring. More on the movie's plot can be read here. Quote:
THE BLING RING shows a group of teenagers obsessed with fashion and fame who burglarized the homes of celebrities in Los Angeles. Tracking their targets’ whereabouts online, the teens would break-in and steal designer clothes and possessions. Reflecting on the naiveté of youth, amplified by today’s culture of celebrity and luxury brand obsession, the members of the Bling Ring introduce us to temptations that nearly any teenager would find hard to resist. What starts out as youthful fun spins out of control and reveals a sobering view of our modern culture.

Good for her if she can pull it off. I just wonder if she was casted for it. I know Actors need/want to proof theirself, so they are doing Auditions and all I hear always is "I wanted Emma" :/ I don't mean it rude or bad
Robert was denied for this Movie already (it's the only other Rumour I heard of this), so who is joining. But I don't like the Idea of this Movie. Such a rude Group don't really deserve a Movie about them with such a talented Director imho. I think there are so many great People out there, who will never get a Movie about them, but they deserve it so much. It shows how unfair it can be sometimes. Well the Group has a Reason now to be proud of what they did.

I wonder what is true or not true. Emma has been linked to at least 3 projects who seems to be serious. I sincerely hope she will do You Voice in My Head. It seems genius. Not sure though, about that one movie, but it's Sophia Coppola, maybe it'll be interesting to see her work with her? (if it's true of course).
