[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/poa_hermione_80.jpg' align='middle'> Emma Watson on scenes cut from the film PoA - Summary:
Hermione Granger actress talks to SciFi Wire about scenes cut from the latest film. Article: Emma Watson on scenes cut from the film PoA
Emma Watson, the girl behind the screen version of Hermione Granger, in the Potter series, discusses cut scenes with SciFiWire including that infamous hugging scene. Quote: "One of the things that I think is really great about the film is that it's really fluid and fast-moving. They did a really good job of getting everything that was important in there." Quote: "There were a couple of fights with Ron [Rupert Grint] that were cut." Quote: "There was an awkward hug with Ron, but it did get cut," Quote: "Well, just on the exterior, I think," she said. "Hermione and Ron spend the whole film arguing with each other. Ron is convinced that Hermione's cat, Crookshanks, has eaten his rat, [Scabbers]. But I think that's a bit of a cover-up, really, because they have a bit of a soft spot for each other. It's a classic love-hate relationship. You always tease the ones you like." | I do wish they have a love- hate relationship. It would be quite funny to watch. I hate it when they cut the good parts. It adds a little more magic to the film....know what I mean.
Oh yeah...first to post....again. |

I love the movie - would have liked to see the awkward hug - maybe it will be on the deleted scenes when the DVD is finally released.

| ^ I highly doubt they will put the hug scene in the Deleted Scenes section. |

They probably will - it's the most talked about deleted scene.

^ The DVD special features are likely to still be in discussion and afterall, COS has loads of deleted scenes on the DVD, I think they will add as much as possible.

Alfonso said in an interview that the DVD has been being worked on since the production for PoA started and that it is going to be the best yet. He also said there's going to be a "Behind the Scenes" documentary on there - something WB didn't do on the first 2 DVD's in case it "spoiled" the magic.

^I bet it will have loads of special features then, and lots of deleted scenes - as long as they don't turn it into 8 hours of features like they did LOTR, I would never get anything done! |

Especially as it's due out around Christmas - our families wouldn't see anything of us! lol

^ Yes, that would be rather amusing, trying to eat my roast turkey with my nose to the screen. More features the better, I guess I could pause it for a few minutes...

Wow that DVD is going to be exciting! I want them to include the hugging scene! I think that they should also do bloopers too! that would make the DVD really funny!

| Yay, I can't wait for the DVD now! I'm really looking forward to more of the 'Behind the Scenes' stuff. And I want to see that 'awkward hugging scene' Emma was talking about...

I'm going to watch that DVD as soon as i buy it and then i'm gonna delve into the bonus features for as long as possible. But i read that interview with Alfonso too and he said that he wasn't gonna do a commentary because directors sound like fools on them (to which i disagree) and they ruin the film to an extent (to which i very highly disagree ) I wish they'd kept the arguments in there, they will be important if they get together later |

lol i agree about havong an extended version, that would be fun. Sadly though I'm not sad that the hugging scene was cut because i don't support the whole Ron and Hermionie thing. Sorri to anyone who does, but I just don't like them tiggehter
