| | |  Emma turns down teen movie roles
Emma Watson has apparently turned down a few US teen movie roles - because she doesn't want to play a rebel.
She admitted that she's very cautious in the roles that she decides to play. She even jokingly said she won't end up follwing Daniel Radcliffe's footsteps, who did naked scenes in the play Equus.
Emma told the Daily Star Sunday:

"I won't be appearing naked on stage with a horse! But I am waiting for the right opportunity for me."
She also added:

"I'm not a rebel. I usually do what I'm told. But I don't think it is worth playing the role of a teenager who wants to rebel against the world. To be honest, that's my worst nightmare. Auditions are really hard and being rejected is always a bad experience. But I'll keep trying."

It's her decision. I don't see why other people feel like they have the right to comment on what she should do with her career. If she doesn't like that kind of role, then she's not going to play that kind of role. It's simple.

yeah, hopefully she doesn't turn down to many roles. You have to try something new, expand your horizons. It is acting after all, you're supposed to play a character, not yourself... and it totally makes you better if you try new things acting-wise. Learn how to be a rebel or a bad guy/villain, etc instead of just the goody-two-shoes kind of roles.
But it's her choice 
And teenage movies are rarely good anyways... but if you're lucky they are, and she might make a teen movie good 
And it is hard to be rejected (I understand that)...
But just keep trying, you know?

I've been liking Emma a lot more in recent months than previously (I think it's because she used to seem like an airhead) and I hope she continues to make good decisions. I'm glad she's really thinking things through before making decisions. However, her wording always seems a bit off in written interviews.
