Emerson from Mugglenet reported on the new interviews with the GoF director Mike Newell and added a comment on the end due to the fact that both staff from Mugglenet and The Leaky Cauldron were invited down to Leavesden Studios to watch Goblet of Fire being filmed. Here is what he said: Quote:
I learned on my visit to Leavesden a few weeks ago that, in this movie, Beauxbatons is an all-girls school and Durmstrang is an all-boys school.

i don't like that, in the books, i don't see any mention of Durmstrang having girls in the school, but Beauxbattons it says Quote:

I definetly don't like that they change that, what's the point?. But it's just one thing of many that i love so far about it, and i'm still looking forward to it

Somehow, I just don't see someone like Fleur being at home in an all-girl's school. lol.
I wish they had kept it the same as the books, but I doubt it will have that much effect on the story so it doesn't bother me.

That's not right, because Parvati goes off with a Beauxbatons boy at the Yule Ball....why would they change this for the film, it doesn't make sense!

They didn't mention that Durmstrang had any girls, it may well be boys only.
As for Beauxbatons, it should be both boys and girls 2.

I think they changed it to add to the "veela" effect the boys have on Fleur. The boys will be attracted to the girls from Beauxbatons, but it will be like Fleur is the prettiest of them all. Even though it's safe to say not all the Beauxbatons girls are veelas I always imagined them to be rather attractive anyway.
As far as the Parvati being asked to dance by a Beauxbatons boy, that can just as easily be made to a Durmstrang boy. I'm sure they've made more radical changes than that.

OMG!! They can't do that! They have to have it exactly like the book! Or else everything will be just so messed up! I'm so angry!! How could they do this!?!
