IGN Insider is reporting that Michael Gambon, who took over as Dumbledore in the Potter films after Richard Harris passed away, may have a role in the new Superman film. Quote:
The site claims the Emmy-nominee is in the running to play Jor-El, the doomed biological dad of the Man of Steel, in director Bryan Singer's forthcoming movie. Considering Latino Review broke the news that Brandon Routh had been cast in the title role, there could be some truth to this rumor.

Wasn't Michael Gambon in "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" as well? I work at a movie theater (which meant I got to see PoA for free a couple times, hee hee...), and I could have sworn that when we had that movie a little while ago his name had appeared in the credits...wonder which character he was...too bad we got rid of the movie last week, I could still check it out...

I will probably end up going to see the Superman movie, if only to see what Bryan Singer has done with it. He did AMAZING things with the 2 X-Men movies. I'm sad he's not doing X-3

I used to love superman  Hopefully it will be good, but I agree I don't really think I could see himas anyone other than Dumbledore...oh well we'll see I guess
