| | |  Dramatic exit for 'Equus' stars
Stars of the new hit play 'Equus' had to take exit out of the theatre through a window. The crowd of 450 Dan fans were trapping Jenny Agutter and Richard Griffiths inside, so they took a more interesting exit. Quote:
Veteran stars Jenny Agutter and Richard Griffiths were forced to climb out of a window to escape a theatre besieged by fans of Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.
A mob of 450 mostly teenage fans had crowded outside the stage door of the Gielgud Theatre, where 17-year-old Radcliffe is appearing naked every night in Equus.

Police were called to disperse the throng outside the theatre in Rupert Street while Radcliffe's co-stars Griffiths and Agutter were left trapped inside.
Security staff managed to escort Radcliffe to his car, but the two veteran actors ended up having to climb out of a window to avoid the mêlée.

"Richard and Jenny had to get out through the side window by the box office on Rupert Street. You try to get Richard Griffiths out of a back window. It was a bit touch and go," he said.

That's so funny, when you think about it!
But why didn't they helped them also? They are in the play and I'm sure their safety was a concern as well as Dan's. They should have help them get out too, IMO.

I think thats really sad actually. That two really good actors had to escape simply because a bunch of screaming fan girls couldn't be bothered to show their appriecation to them too.
Oh well, it happens. I hope they get to use a door next time though.
