| | | Draco Malfoy on Entertainment Weekly Hateful Movie Children list
Draco Malfoy has been featured on Entertainment Weekly's 31 Most Hateful TV/Movie Children list. Quote: DRACO MALFOY
Tom Felton
The Harry Potter films (2001-2009)
Well, yeah, this Slytherin scion has done everything in his power to put the whammy on Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and his mini-Scooby crew since page 1. Plus, he's blond...and, in movies, blond kids are almost always bad news.

lol, too funny-yet pretty acurate! Got to love Draco and all his evilness, but at the end you kind of feel sorry for him-I mean he couldn't choose who his family was and how they treated him. Kind of makes you think what he would have grown up like outside of the deatheating family.

I agree with J K Rowling, there was far too much bitterness between Draco and Harry for them to be friends. Some things can't be let go, Snape and Sirius prove that.
I wonder who else was on the list. Veruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate factory springs to mind...

nice going Draco! I always knew you would be on that sort of list XD
edit: I just read the part with Sharpay Evans from High School Musical in it and I just gotta say this; whoever made that list has gotta know their HSM history

I bet it's what Draco would have ALWAYs wanted :sarcasm:
Draco wasn't Hateful, Lucius was, and Lucius drilled his hateful beliefs into Draco. Who wants to bet that Lucius isn't on this list?

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | He definitely deserves to be on the list! I couldn't stand Draco, but the story wouldn't have been the same without him. I love how his character started out kind of 2-D, but then blossomed into this very rich, troubled, insecure boy who just wants to live up to his father's expectations. |

hateful? a little harsh innit?
Voldemort is hateful. Bellatrix is hateful. but no matter how mean Draco was, i dont see anything from what he did to be deemed "hateful". they make it sound like Draco Malfoy is Darth Vader or something (who did something really hateful), the most "evil" Draco ever done was smash Harry's face-- which was despicable, cowardly even, but he didnt kill him when he had the perfect opportunity to do so.

"Put the whammy on Harry"? What is this? Press Your Luck?
"mIni-Scooby crew"?! Hahahaha!!
This is ridiculous. Draco Malfoy isn't hateful. I know quite a few hateful people and Blondie doesn't even come close. He was a bit childish and immature but all kids are at some point. I've read some scenes where Harry was just as childish and immature.
Anyway, Malfoy's just vastly misunderstood. -pats his fluffy blonde hair-

Us blonde's tend to be more witty and sarcastic though which can come across as mean to some people who don't understand sarcasm (I'm a Blonde too, just so you know )

I guess they're doing this from the movie perspective. Which means it probably tailors more to the people who've seen the movies, while not necessarily having read the books. But having seen Draco's journey through the seven books, you will see that he's not a hateful person. I myself couldn't stand him when I was eleven, when I first read Sorcerer's Stone but am now fascinated with his family, and desperately wishing that they can redeem themselves in the Wizarding World.

hmmm is that a good thing or a bad thing?? lol I agree with those that say that Draco wasn't hateful; he learned it from his father and wanted to be like him. Draco is good person on the inside...he didn't (wouldn't have) killed Dumbledore, and he nodded to Harry in DH as an acknowledgement that they were okay with each other now. THey will never be "best friends" but atleast they are courteous to each other in the end. That's what really matters. Draco was not hateful.
