 The DND sign is back - JKRowling.com's door is closed again. Summary: Article: If you try to go once again through the door, you won't be able to. It is closed once again and the 'Do not Disturb' sign is back up.
This probably means there should be another update. Perhaps regarding HBP's release.

TLC have also commented on the closing of the door by saying:

There's also a rumor floating around that the book will be out in four to six months. As of this moment, this is pure speculation. Like book six's title and the OotP announcement, the announcement will come in a big way - probably on JKR's site, or a gigantic press release from her publishing companies. (Plus, a la OotP, by the time the book is four-to-six months away, that announcement will either have happened or be very close at hand. Though I would bet that we'll be completely surprised by it, the way we were for the OotP announcement.)

Something in my gut is telling me the date will be announced soon. She shocked us with the OotP one; I can just feel it. I dont mean to sound like Trelawney, but I can see it now. I think the date is going to be with us soon.

I think it will be released June/July 2005. That's a good while before GoF the film but also gives a good period of time for the book to be published/distributed etc...

I kinda was thinking the release of book 6 would fall in the middle of the movies of 3 and 4 about 9 months after the release of 3, 9 months before the release of 4 whick makes it about FEBRUARY 2005 Lets keep our fingers crossed.

the 'do not disturb' sign isnt permenently onn its sometimes on sometimes it isnt, i think. i hope the book comes out soon i cant stand having to wait ne longer lol. is the book published in the uk b4 in the us, or not? just wondering

omg i hope she tells us soon. I mean she's already been working on it for a year, she shouldn't need another 6 months. So if you figure she has 4 more months to work on it, then 1 month for editing, 2 months for printing and distributing.. 7 months from now is February 2005. Oh but that seems so far away... :/

Bear with my rambling thoughts . . . . If the rumor is four to six months before publication, then JKR must be finished with the book and it is in the editing process. If the book is in the editing process, then the publishing company is already at work on possible dates for HBP's release. The PR (public relations) department is going to be busier than usual -- they need to create the advertising campaign, especially the teasers! With all of this in mind, I can think of two possible dates that would fall into this time frame: October 31 and December 4. A Halloween release date would add a twist to the advertising campaign (use your imagination), and a December release date would add to booksellers' profits during the Christmas shopping season (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince would make an excellent stocking stuffer for your witch or wizard!)
Enough of my rambling . . . guess that we will all have to wait for the announcement of when the HBP will be released!
