| | |  DH pre-orders not sanctioned by Bloomsbury
Although thousands in the U.K. have pre-ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows online, HP publisher Bloomsbury has announced that they have never sanctioned any pre-orders for the book.
Amazon is even giving a price guarantee of £13.99 for pre-orders of Deathly Hallows, even though Bloomsbury has not set the price for the book yet.
According to Bloomsbury: Quote:
We haven't given people permission to pre-order the book yet, because we haven't received the final manuscript. J.K. Rowling is still writing it.
Amazon obviously isn't our only customer, but it's very exciting that the book has made it to No. 1 in the bestseller list.
We don't have any details about the amount of books that have been pre-ordered, and we wouldn't base our print run on that. We don't release details of our print run, and we won't release any information about the book until we have the manuscript.

So really, there is absolutely no reason to pre-order it yet, seeing as Bloomsbury hasn't given the OK to start the pre-orders at Amazon yet. It's strange that Amazon has started without being said too, but I guess they expect this to be big too! | |
