The Today Show this morning unveiled the cover art for the Deluxe Edition of Deathly Hallows. The cover shows Harry, Ron and Hermione flying on the back of a dragon.   Quote:
“Set during a highly dramatic sunset, Harry, Hermione, and Ron--clothes in tatters--cling atop a flying dragon in this astonishing artwork created by Mary GrandPré for the deluxe edition. As mist creeps down towering hillsides to a village below, questions arise about where the trio is headed and what has led them to this spellbinding moment."

I knew he would come bak...i am 99.9% sure tha is norburt...omg...after the war, he comes and gets the trio...ahhh!!! *cries* i miss norburt...hagrid will be really happy...cant wait...omg...there are so many thinggoing threw my tiny head...it is exploding with thoughts...i am dying to read that book...OMG!!! I have bin telling my friends for months that Norburt...and Fluffy and Fridwalfa are so coming into the books again...and now i am getting closer to the dragon part....YAY!!!

I'm pretty sure the dragon is NOT Norbert - it looks like an Antipodean Opaleye to me. Here's a quote from the book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them:
"The Opaleye is a native of New Zealand . . . . Unusually for a dragon, it dwells in valleys rather than mountains. It is of medium size (between two and three tonnes). Perhaps the most beautiful type of dragon, it has irridescent, pearly scales and glittering, multi-coloured, pupil-less eyes, hence it's name . . . . by dragon standards it is not particularly aggressive and will rarely kill unless hungry.
Whereas Norbert was a Norwegian Ridgeback which is described thus:
"The Norwegian Ridgeback resembles the Horntail in most respects, though instead of tail spikes it sports particularly prominant jet-black ridges along it's back. Exceptionally aggressive to its own kind . . . ."
Out of all 10 descriptions of dragons in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - the dragon on the cover here looks the most like an Opaleye.

Nice cover PotterCast on TLC was talking about it. They said that the dragon had to be an Antipedian Opaleye and that the Trio might be on the dragon after their encounter with Voldemort, given the state of their robes.
