The Today Show this morning unveiled the cover art for the Deluxe Edition of Deathly Hallows. The cover shows Harry, Ron and Hermione flying on the back of a dragon.   Quote:
“Set during a highly dramatic sunset, Harry, Hermione, and Ron--clothes in tatters--cling atop a flying dragon in this astonishing artwork created by Mary GrandPré for the deluxe edition. ZOMG I love it. I've always loved the Duluxe cover art.
This one seems rather cheerful compared to the other one  Are they in their dress robes? Are we to assume (from what they are wearing) that Ron & Hermione go back to Hogwarts & Harry doesn't?
Is that a Hungarian Horntail?
The sky is orange.. same orange as the other cover?
....I should probably go examine it before asking questions XD
P.S. this is IT huh? No more art. ...*is incredibly depressed*

So many questions and not enough space to post them!! The one thing i am going to say, and i agree with Rovie is does this mean Ron and Hermione go back to Hogwarts and Harry doesn't? Also why the hell are they flying a dragon??? After GoF I don't see how they are going to beable to get onto the back of a dragon and stay there without falling of or getting eaten! It almost looks as if the trio is being whisked away from a fight! Their clothes tattered....Hermione almost lying down....is she injured or is it her fear of flying? SO many questions!!!!! I already have this Deluxe Edition ordered!!!!

YES! I agree with Norbert.
It's really interesting to see how Mary Grandpre's art has evolved throughout HP For example, check out the cover of PoA, which is similar to this cover. It's like the style of her art becomes more 'mature' as the trio matures. Aaaaawww, super awww.
..it's interesting to me anyways XD haha *art geek*

anyways i absolutely ADORE the artwork and i think Mary Grandpre is extremely talented. she puts so much detail into her artwork and personally i think this is the best cover for any HP BOOK(US and UK versions 
). I also think that the dragon must be Norbert becasue i dont think any other dragon would let them ride on it
i cant believe that the final installment of Harry Potter will be out in just over a month!
i already preordered the Deluxe edition three times...just to make sure i get one
