| | |  Deathly Hallows split confirmed at Snatchers' capture before Malfoy Manor
We reported earlier that Joshua Herdman and various Harry Potter co-stars attended Muggle Mayhem, a fan convention from which proceeds were given to charitable causes.
During a panel discussion, Josh revealed the current scene chosen as the split point for both Deathly Hallows films: Quote:
Herdman said that the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows just after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor.
Please note that this is susceptible for change, and that this is currently the split point for the films. David Yates said in late June that the split point would be one of the scenes involving Harry, Ron, and Hermione being chased by Snatchers, which he had been filming at the time. | |

This just outstanding! Fantastic! The Snatchers catching Ron, Harry and Hermione right before heading to Malfoy Manor. Love it. Of course, I too agree with Ketki, the scene with Ron and that horcrux would be nice as well.

I think this is going to be a perfect place to split the movie. It acts as a great cliff hanger for those who have not read the books (but should!). I cannot wait for to see these last two movies (except for the fact that it will me it's all over).

Honestly I don't think that is a good place to split it. It's way too far into the story and it's not a good cliffhanger. I think they should split it at Godrics Hollow when Harry and Hermione are trying to escape Nagini and then Voldemort comes right after Harry and Hermione Apparate. And then the second part should start with Hermione trying to wake Harry up.

this is amazing , but wasn't it better for the split to be at the point of Ron's return ? and does this make the 2nd movie shorter than the 1st? , I mean that also the part of xeno's house and Harry's obssesion by the deathly hallows will be in the 1st movie?

I always figured a really good spot for the split would be right after the Malfoy Manor and the buriel of Dobby. So Part II would start with them heading to Gringotts.
