French movie site Allocine has listed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II to be released May 1, 2011. It is unclear if this release date is only for France, or if it is the slated date for any other countries, including the US and UK. Please regard this as a rumour, especially since the first of May falls on a Sunday, until we hear confirmation from Warner Bros.

I'm sooo glad they decided to break it into two movies, they would have cut out way too many important things if it was just one movie. 2011 just seems so far off, it'll take forever to get here!

It depends; different countries have different days on which films are generally opened. So sometimes European countries have had the film a day or two before. And sometimes the films have opened a couple weeks in the U.K. before the U.S. Quote:

Wow, a whole three years away before the final movie is released. It's good and bad. It will be hard to wait that long but on the other hand, we always have something to look forward to. I just can't wait to see that final showdown between Harry and Voldemort finally released on film! Ever since I read the book, I live for that moment.
