Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II will
open the Giffoni Film Festival in southern Italy on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 - three days before the international release of the final installment of the series.

The film will open the 41st edition of the Giffoni Film Festival on July 12. Helmed by David Yates and distributed by Warner Bros, it will hit screens nationwide in Italy on July 13 while the rest of the world will have to wait July 15 to see it. The festival - which opened in 2009 with “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2” - is the ideal venue for a wonderful 3D screening of the final chapter of the fantasy saga which has helped an entire generation of kids come of age and become adults with the previous 7 films.
