The Age reports that, unsurprisingly, Deathly Hallows was Australia's best-selling book of 2007. 1,036,825 copies had been sold in the country by December 29th, with the children's version proving to be most popular, with the majority of the sales. Quote:
Six of the top 10 spots in the children's list were occupied by various editions of Harry Potter titles. Deathly Hallows was way ahead of the paperback of The Half-Blood Prince (75,678). Special editions of HP and the Philosopher's Stone (37,785) and HP and the Order of the Phoenix (34,094) followed. Places nine and 10 went to more Potter special editions — The Prisoner of Azkaban (31,694) and The Goblet of Fire (30,162).
